To start...play THIS while looking at the post! It will most likely make my pictures look better! (that is how it works right?)
So...a little bit ago we started planning a trip to the Philippines for the middle of April to go and swim with whale sharks and enjoy the general splendor of the Philippines! About a week before the trip we had some unexpected news that would allow us to only stay for about three or four days, with all the travel time it takes to get there we decided it was not worth it for three days and decided to postpone the trip for another time! What does that have to do with Paris?! Well I was pretty bummed & kind of frustrated that weren't going anymore, but I thought that a three day trip might be great for somewhere closer to home. I started planning some little trips state side but nothing was really sounding that great. I have been wanting to go to Paris for a long time, (not really all that much closer to home!) and any time we were planning a trip that is what I would suggest!! There is a direct flight from Salt Lake City straight into Paris so that made getting there relatively fast and very easy, and made my pitch on going to Hyrum that much more successful! I guess I always imagined it would be some week or two long stroll through the city of lights, wandering streets in a light little summer dress, riding a bike, picnics under the Eiffel Tower, and someone playing the accordion in the background!
But I settled for three days with the promise of returning again someday with more time to explore! Anyway, in my next post I will talk more about what we did, what we liked...and didn't!
Let me finish of by saying...I am NOT a photographer! I dabble here and there and I try hard to beautifully capture things with my little camera...so don't judge me too bad on my photo taking and editing skills! I also accidentally only packed my 50mm lens! So quite a lot of the photos are cropped weird and close because of that....plus I love all the details of Paris, so ya know... That being said, enjoy the first post of Paris!
Stay tuned for one more post of Paris and one of Giverny, France/Monet's House and Gardens!
